Thank you for visiting my website.
let me tell you about myself.
I have more than 10 years experience as a consultant cardiologist in the NHS and commenced private medical practice in 2014. I have an excellent team of colleagues at Claremont Hospital who support my consultant clinics on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays.
In 1996 I graduated with distinction from the University of Sheffield and undertook Specialist training in the Royal London Hospitals Trust and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. My training included a clinical fellowship in Invasive Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I have worked within the NHS as a consultant cardiologist since 2008 and started my private medical practice in 2014 with the establishment of the private medical consulting collaboration, Sheffield Cardiac Chambers.
My NHS clinical practice is based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts. I routinely manage all acute and chronic heart conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings. Additionally, I have a specialist interest in Heart Rhythm Disorders (Arrhythmias) and have been accredited by the International Board of Hearts Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), formerly NASPE
I am an accredited appraiser of fellow consultants and actively involved in the educational supervision of trainee doctors. I participate in regular yearly appraisal in accordance with General Medical Council guidance. Reflection is central to annual appraisal and is paramount to my work. Your feedback is important to me and the clinic team at Claremont Hospital.
